The newly appointed General Officer Commanding One Division and Force Commander Operation WHIRL PUNCH Kaduna, Major General Bamidele Alli Alabi has assumed Command as the 41st General Officer Commanding.
In a statement by acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lt Colonel Musa Yahaya, the GOC charged all officers and soldiers of the division to re-double their efforts so as to end the current security challenges bedeviling the division’s area of responsibility.
He also commended formation commanders and all principal officers of the division for their immense contribution towards the successes so far achieved by the division.
According to him, “One Division is the premier division of the Nigerian Army, we are one and we must always be ahead”.
Major General Alabi expressed delight to Almighty God and the Chief of Army Staff for his appointment as the General Officer Commanding One Division.
Highpoint of the events were signing of handing and taking over notes, decoration of the new GOC with one Division insignia, hoisting off a new Division’s flag at quarter guard to signal the commencement of a new era in the Division and a group photograph.
