Niger state acting Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba has appealed to the people of the state irrespective of ethnic and religious affiliation, to redouble efforts in encouraging anything that will bring peace, love, unity and brotherhood to fast track development. 

He made the appeal at Minna Eid prayer ground after performing the two rakaat’s prayer led by the Chief Imam of Minna Central mosque , Sheikh Ibrahim Fari.

Comrade Yakubu Garba who maintained that peace is the prerequisite for any meaningful development, charged Nigerians to continue to remain peaceful to reaped the dividend of democracy.

The acting Governor who thanked stakeholders for their support to the present administration , tasked the people to put Niger state first above personal interest to achieve maximum results.

In his remarks ,former Niger state Governor Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu applauded the Federal Government for the removal of fuel subsidy which he claimed was hitherto been used to service other things. .

Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu opined that any subsidy that does not go to the beneficiaries should be removed.

He appealed to wealthy Muslims to assist the less privileged to ameliorate their hardship.
