Speaker of House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, has enjoined the citizens to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to the Almighty Allah, by making sacrifices towards the development and growth of the country.

He made the call in congratulatory message to the Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Malam Musa Abdullahi Kirshi.

Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, who described the prosperity of the country as a joint task that requires the unity of all the citizens to over come the nation’s challenges said it is high time to pray for the success of the newly elected leaders across Nigeria.

The Speaker similarly reminded the Muslims and Nigerians by extension on the need to use the Sallah celebration to appreciate Almighty Allah for the successful conduct of 2023 general elections, the inauguration of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the 10th National Assembly.

He assured Nigerians that the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration was working towards realizing the ‘Renewed Hope’ that Nigerians have massively voted for but with prayers and moral support for all elected and appointed leaders nationwide the goals can be achieved.

Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, however, called on the security agencies to ensure adequate provision of their personnel at strategic locations for a hitch free Sallah celebration across the country.
