Nigerian Airforce has attributed successes witnessed in recent years to commitment in the pursuit of purposeful training and human capacity development of personnel.

Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar disclosed this at the graduation ceremony of students of sundry courses held at NAF Institute of Administrative Management-NAFIAM, Kaduna.

Represented by Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Yusuf, the Air Chief explained that the graduands’ capacity being robustly developed, would be key enabler of airpower employment and projection.

He noted that the knowledge acquired by the graduands is consistent with his aspiration of attaining high level of self sufficiency for the service.

The Air Chief charged the graduands to exhibit high level of professionalism, discipline, loyalty integrity, teamwork and courage.

Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar also charged them to be law abiding in the discharge of their duties and uphold the tenets of civil-military relations.

Earlier, Commandant of NAFIAM, Air Commodore Abdulrasheed Kotun noted that the objective of the basic courses was to impart skills and requisite knowledge of non-technical ground trades on personnel that would make them effectively deliver on their assigned tasks.

He re-iterated the Institute’s commitment towards producing high quality manpower that would contribute positively to the attainment of the NAF mission.

A total of two hundred personnel comprising nine officers and one hundred and ninety-one airmen/airwomen graduated.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards to deserving graduands.
