As Eid el Kabir is approaching, Muslims ummah are expected to redouble their efforts in worshiping the Almighty Allah.

The former Commissioner for religious affairs Zamfara state Dr Muhammad Tukur Sani Jangebe disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Gusau the state capital.

The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the most virtuous days of the year, in which Allah (swt) has blessed his Ummah with opportunities to multiply their rewards through His infinite mercy.

Therefore, there is need to increase our acts of worship during this sacred time.

Dr Tukur Sani Jangebe said
there are nine Sunnah actions Muslims need to follow to seek Allah’s forgiveness and maximise their reward during the best ten days of the year:

Dhikr, Pray Tahajjud, Recite Qur’an
Dhikr, Give Sadaqah,
Repent, Pray Eid Salah among others.

Dr Jangebe said Muslims are expected to give out sadakat, assist the poor and less privilege peoples in the society to enable them to celebrate their sallah smoothly.

According to him, Muslims are also expected to recite Quran, and to fast for the period of ten days as each and every blessed day has its significance attached.

He also called on Muslim ummah to use the opportunity to pray for peace to prevail in Zamfara and the country at large.
