The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has declared today the 19th of June 2023 as the first day of Dhul-Hijjah 1444 After Hijira, Islamic calendar.

This is made known via tweet on the official Twitter handle of the National Moon sighting Committee Nigeria.

According to the Twitter handle of the Sultanate, Wednesday 28th of June, 2023 will be the day of Eidul Adha 1444 AH.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa‘ad Abubakar however wishes the entire Muslim Ummah happy Eidul Adha Mubarak in advance.

The Sultan also appealed to the Muslims to continue to pray for peaceful coexistence for socio security and economic development of the country.
