Kebbi Gov’t Supports Banditry Victims With Cash, Food Items

The Kebbi State Government has distributed food items and money to nine households affected by bandits attack in Shanga Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking while distributing the items to the affected households at Tunga Makera village in Shanga Local Government Area, Comrade Nasir Idris, expressed dismay over the attack.

The Governor, sympathized with the families, friends and entire villagers over what he described as ungodly attack and assured them of his administration’s commitment to fighting crimes to ensure safety of lives and property.

He assured to support the security agencies so as to curb the menace of banditry across the state particularly in Yauri and Zuru Emirates where the cases of insecurity is more pronounced.

Governor Idris, applauded the efforts of the Nigeria Army and other security agencies in the state for their gallant and diligent exercise which led to the rescue of several kidnapped persons.

The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Mohammed Zayannu Abdullahi, thanked the governor for the visit, saying that: “this is the first time that we are going to feel the impact of a government.

“My people have been facing alot of security challenges, we seriously need the support of government and security agencies to enable us sleep with our two eyes close and go to our farms and other businesses peacefully”, the emir added.
