The Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has directed Muslims faithful in the country to start looking for the new crescent of Dhul Hijjah from Tomorrow the 18 of June 2023 equivalent to Islamic calendar 29th of Dhul Qa’dah 1444AH .

This was made known in a statement signed by the chairman advisory committee on religious affairs, Sultanate council Sokoto state, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu

He said if sighted, the information should be forwarded to the nearest village or district head for onward communication to the Sultan of Sokoto.
