Gov Namadi Solicits Journalists Support For Greater Jigawa

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has sought for journalists to support his administration by exhibiting a high sense of professionalism as well as abiding by the ethics of their profession in the discharge of their duties in the state.

The Governor made the call when members of the state Correspondent Chapel paid him a courtesy visit at government house Dutse, the jigawa state capitsl.

He further explained that, Journalists were key stakeholders in promoting good governance, delivering effective public service, peace, unity and progress of any Government and society.

“Our request to you is to always try to be objective and balance in your reportage, to put Jigawa corporate existence, peace and progress above any interest, to join your hands in our quest for building a prosperous and Greater Jigawa”.

Namadi also urged the members to report the activities of the State Government accordingly, but avoid writing any unbalanced reports.

In a speech, the Chairman of the Correspondent’s Chapel, Comrade Muhammad Zangina Kura said, members of the chapel were at Government House to congratulate the Governor for a successful  inauguration in to office.

Comrade Zangina pointed out that, the working journalists would join hands with the Jigawa State Government to promote peace unity and progress in the State.

Kura assured the Governor that, the members of the chapel would be more professional in their reportage and also prioritize the collective interest of the state above anything.
