Governor Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Razaq of Kwara State has sympathised with residents of Ilorin and some Communities in the state who were affected by rainstorm and flooding of Thursday night.

This is contained in a Statement by his Spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye in Illorin.

The Governor expressed sadness over the havocs the rainstorm wreaked on Public and Private Properties, especially in Ilorin Metropolis, Oke Ero, and some other areas.

He commend the ongoing efforts by relevant Government Agencies to evacuate many fallen signposts and clear the highways for free movement of traffic.

Abdul-Razaq Abdul-Rahman said the state government will collaborate with the Federal Government to continually tackle the challenges of flooding.

He appealed to Members of the Public to avoid dumping of refuse in Drainages and other unauthorise Places.
