Science kits worth over six point four million naira has been distributed to some selected schools in Niger state by the Scientific Equipment Development Institute, SEDI.

The distributed kits by SEDI , is part of effort at complementing governments efforts in the promotion and development of education, especially science related courses.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Scientific Equipment Development Institute, Professor Mohammed Baba Ndaliman stated this at the official distribution of the kits in Minna, Niger state.

Prof. Mohammed Baba Ndaliman further said the distribution of science kits to some selected schools in Niger state is also part of their corporate social responsibility, in line with its mandate and mission of National Agency For Science and Engineering Infrastructure.

He said the Institute has been in forefront of providing impactful consultancy services and training to renowned institution and state governments in Nigeria , in addition to designing various user friendly labouratories and equipment for schools in Niger state and Nigeria.

Professor Mohammed Baba Ndaliman spoke of plans by SEDI to train two teachers each from the selected schools on how to efficiently utilize the kits for maximum benefits.

In her remarks, Niger state Commissioner of Education Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu, explained that it is gratifying to note that the magnificent gesture is a giant move towards promoting science, technology and innovation in schools , and enhance the capacity of developing tools for technological innovation and transformation for infrastructural and social economic development.

Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu assured of the State government’s readiness for partnership with SEDI to succeed.
