Contractors handling various projects under the Niger state Universal Basic Education Board have been directed to return to site and commence work immediately.

This is because all the stages of procurement processes have been completed and are now ready to commence the twenty twenty twenty twenty one Universal Basic Education Commission matching grant intervention projects n Niger state.

Chairman Niger State Universal Basic Education Board Alh Saidu Ibrahim gave the directive during an interface with contractors in Minna.

Alh Saidu Ibrahim said they have addressed most of the challenges confronting the contractors and assured them that money for their projects from first phase to the completion stage is ready stressing that no contractor will finish his project without being paid.

But he however reminded them that payment of contractors will only be made only to those that have executed qualify job and according to specification.

Alh Saidu Ibrahim also commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state who despite the problem of insurgency coupled with insufficient funds has shown genuine commitment by providing two point one billion naira counterpart fund for UBEC as matching grant.

Also speaking the Deputy Director Physical Planning Alh Abdulkadir Shehu Nafuntua cautioned staff against conniving with the contractors to execute shoddy jobs as any one found will be summarily dealt with.

Responding on behalf of the contractors Alh Yakubu Abdullahi Mohammed said they will abide by the specifications of Niger State Universal Basic Education Board in executing their projects.
