Governor Matawalle Seeks Inclusive Government From In – Coming Administration

Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has appealed to the incoming administration to carry everybody along for the development of the state and democracy in general.

The Governor made the appeal in Gusau, while commenting on the recent announcement of 2023 general elections results.

Governor Matawalle who expressed appreciation to Almighty Allah to govern the state for four years , also called on people of the state to be calm and law abiding citizens , as well as to support the in coming administration.

He expressed dismay over the vandalization of government and public properties in the name of celebrating victory, adding that, curfew was imposed from 8:00 pm to 6 am in order to avoid further escalation of the ugly trend.

Matawalle also sympathized with the victims of the vandalization whose lost their belongings and also condoled the families of those that lost their loved ones.

Similarly, the Senator elect representing Zamfara West, Abudulaziz Yari advised people to be law abiding citizens and to desist from any act capable of tarnishing their image or breach of peace in the state.

Yari further explained that, they would take INEC to court to prove whatever they have donned during the last concluded 2023 general elections.

In an interview, the Secretary Publicity Campaign Committee for the Governor Elect , Faruk Shatima Rijiya said their supporters did not participate in the destruction and vandalization of government and public properties in the state.

He called on security agencies to intensify efforts in arresting the perpetrators of such acts to face justice.
