Former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar has asked Nigerians to accept the outcome of the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections

He stated this after casting his vote at the Hilltop poling unit in Minna Niger state.

General Abdulsalami Abubakar maintained that this is because no meaningful development could be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour and advised Nigerians to embrace peace.

The former Head of State also wants Nigerians to use the power of their vote to elect credible leaders of their choice to enhance good governance.

General Abdulsalami Abubakar commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for making the election seamless saying it took him like a minute to be identified and given his card to vote.

He expressed happiness over the peaceful manner the electorates conducted themselves during the election.
