Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Nasarawa State has commenced distribution of the reconfigured Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS and other sensitive materials ahead of this Saturday’s governorship and state houses of Assembly election.

The State Resident Electoral Commission of INEC, Dr Uthman Ajidagba stated this at the Lafia office of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN while distributing the materials to the Electoral Officers of INEC from the 13 Local government areas of the state.

Dr Ajidigba assured people that the commission had addressed all the challenges encountered during the Presidential and National Assembly election in the state.

He reiterated that the governorship and state houses of Assembly election would commence by 8:30am across all the polling units.

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner used the event to appeal to all the electorates particularly the youth to conduct themselves peacefully for a free, fair and credible election.

Radio Nigeria reports that the distribution of the sensitive materials were carried out in the presence of security personnel, party agents and representatives of civil society organizations as well as National orientation Agency.
