INEC Completes BVAS Reconfiguration In Kwara

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kwara State has reconfigured all its Two thousand, Eight hundred and Eighty Six Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS Machines in the State.

The State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Mallam Garba Attahiru-Madami , Stated this during a One day Citizens Sensitisation Program tagged ” Towards a Successful 2023 Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Elections ” organized by the State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency, NOA in Ilorin.

Represented by the Head of Voter Education and Publicity,Mallam Adamu Musa ,the Resident Electoral Commisssioner said all the Challenges experienced during the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state have been addressed .

According to him issues such as late arrival of Polling Officials,Electoral Materials,Dry ink pad, BVAS failure and over Voting have been looked into.

Mallam Attahiru -Madami noted that there is no how over-voting can be achieved at the Polling Unit without the conivance of Political Party Agents.

He assured electorates that arrangements have been concluded for Refresher Training of Polling Officials and Prompt Transportation of Sensitive and non-Sensitive Materials for the Saturday election.

Earlier, in his welcome address the Kwara State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kwara state Directorate , Mr Olusegun Adeyemi said that the program was put together for the appraisal of the Presidential and National Assembly elections and plan for the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
