Following incidences of delay in arrival of INEC officials and electoral materials at some polling units in Kwara State, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mallam Garba Attahiru Madami says there will be extension of time.

This is to enable every eligible voters who have their PVCs to exercise their franchise.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Ilorin.

Mallam Attahiru Madami explained that some of the commercial vehicle operators engaged to convey adhoc staff and electoral materials to polling units failed to carry out the assignment.

He stated that the electoral umpire had to seek the services of some other persons to ensure that the materials get to where they were deployed to.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner appealed to electorate to exercise patient and be on queue to cast their votes.
