The Assistant Administrator of United States Agency for International Development USAID, Dr. Monde Muyangwa says the US has provided 25million dollars assistance for elections to Nigeria.

In a media conference in Abuja, Dr Muyangwa said the 2023 election was an opportunity for citizens to shape the country’s future and for Nigeria to solidify its place as a democratic leader in Africa.

She said based on her meetings with UNEC, Civil Society Organizations, she was happy to know that they are all working to ensure inclusion of marginalised groups including people living with Disabilities.

On the observation mission, Dr. Muyangwa explained that the US Embassy in Abuja would serve as the lead observer in collaboration with other Sub-Regional and International groups.

The USAID Assistant Administrator said she also got assurance from appropriate quota that all security concerns would be addressed.
