Ukraine President Vows Victory One Year After Russia’s Invasion

Ukraine President, Volodymyr Zelensky says, Ukraine will do everything to win, a year on from Russia’s invasion.

According to the President, “We endured. We were not defeated”.

Ceremonies are taking place across Ukraine including Bucha – where Russian forces were accused of committing crimes against humanity.

The conflict has become the worst in Europe since World War Two. The UN passed a resolution late on Thursday condemning Russia.

We will hear the voices of Ukrainians and Russians throughout the day, and explain Putin failure to achieve victory over Kyiv

Arina Lytvynchuk’s family is one of many in Ukraine that has been torn apart.

She said: “What I wish for most is to feel that peace I felt when Ukraine wasn’t at war”.
