The former governor of Kano state and Senator representing Kano Central, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau says, PDP will prioritize education, strengthen the economy, promote unity, tackle insecurity and ensure good governance, if given the opportunity.

Malam Shekarau, who doubles as former minister of education, made the call during a media interactive session held in Kano.

According to him, the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has five major priority areas to tackle when elected as President.

Senator Shekarau said PDP was ready for the elections, and its members do not clash with other parties during campaigns.

The former governor maintained that, the leadership of the Party is working tirelessly, to ensure a hitch-free election and had produced credible candidates in all positions being contested across the country.

He pointed out that, the crowd at election rallies do not represent reality, saying that, many candidates were defeated after portraying themselves as popular during campaign.

The former governor advised Nigerians to come out en mass, to cast their votes in the forthcoming general elections.

“Don’t be carried away by crowd and judge the popularity of a candidate by it”.

The interactive session was attended by Ambassador Aminu Wali, a one-time Military Administrator of Niger State, Col. Habibu Shuaibu(Rtrd) and the Kano State Governorship Candidate and his deputy, as well as other PDP stalwarts.
