As the General Elections draws Closer, the Police Command in Sokoto State Vowed to Identify,Arrest and Ensure the Prosecution of Political Actors and their thugs Plotting to Disrupt the Election Pocesses in the state.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammed Usaini Gumel,Stated this while addressing the Newsmen Shortly after holding a Meeting with Area Commanders, DPOs and Heads of Police Formations in Sokoto.
He said the Police Command remain Committed to a Peaceful,Free and Credible Elections.
The Commissioner Directed Area Commanders, DPOs Tactical Teams to ensure the Placement of Firm Actions that would deter attacks on INEC and Government Facilities across the State.
He expressed optimism that no amount of Internal Security threat in any part of the State would Change their Determination for ensuring a Peaceful Electoral Processes.
CP Gumel appealed for Sustained Collaboration amongst the various Security Agencies to help create Peaceful atmosphere through out the elections Period.
