Kwara State Police Command has banned all forms of unlawful protest, rally, or gathering across the State.

In a statement the command Public Relations Officer ,SP ,Okasanmi Ajayi said the temporary ban becomes inevitable owing to an intelligence report indicating that hoodlums have perfected plans to hijack any rally or procession.

The statement said the hoodlums intend to use the process to cause chaos and jeopardize the current fragile peace in the state and the country .

It said the temporary ban is meant to evaluate and access the security situation in the state.

The statement advised political party leaders to warn their supporters to desist from circulating statements that are capable of inflaming crisis.
