Niger Police Arrest Suspected Bandits’ Informant And Food Supplier

The Niger state Police Command has arrested two suspected informants and food suppliers to the arrested kidnappers in Paikoro local government council.

Police Public Relations Officer Niger State Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun stated this in a statement issued to Newsmen in Minna.

DSP Wasiu Abiodun explained that following the arrest of two suspected kidnappers with the recovery of two point one million naira at Lambata, in Gurara Local Government Council further investigation into the matter, through  confessional statement of the suspected kidnappers and technical intelligence received led to this break through.

According to him, operatives attached to Gawu-Babangida Division arrested one Ibrahim Ali, a.k.a Bajala aged twenty five years of Gwalo village in Paikoro Local Government Council in his hideout for being a suspected informant and food supplier to the arrested kidnappers.

During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and said that he usually monitors targets for kidnappers and also assist the hoodlums to purchase foodstuffs such as rice, beans, millet and even alcohol of any kind, with cigarettes.

The suspect was arrested with some quantity of raw rice and beans, which he said he wanted to take to the kidnappers hideout in Gwalo forest before their arrest.

He will be arraigned in court for prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded.

The Niger state Police Command has also arrested a ritualists Abdulrahman Woru from Benin Republic residing in Banana area of Borgu Local Government Council in possession with human skull.
