The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State, Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu has charged the officers and men of the Command to adhere strictly to rules of engagement during the 2023 General Elections.

Commandant Muazu gave the charge during a one-day seminar to officers and men of the corps in preparation for the 2023 General Elections in Gusau.

The State Commandant said the Corps is ready to ensure adequate security coverage in synergy with other sister agencies before, during and after the elections.

He however warned the personnel against perpetrating personal interest as against the rules that guide the conduct of the 2023 general elections as contained in the 2022 electoral Acts.

Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu, opined that the Corps remain apolitical and all activities of officers and men in the period of elections must reflected professionally.

He therefore assured the general public of safety of life and properties.

The NSCDC Zamfara State Command’s boss also emphatically reiterated the readiness of the Corps to protect critical infrastructures and public utilities during these periods to forestall any form of sabotage in the general elections.
