In an effort to safeguard lives and property of Corp Members deployed to Zamfara State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf has visited the Temporary site of the NYSC Orientation Camp located at Government Science Secondary School, Gusau.
This is contained in a statement issued to Newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Mohammed Shehu in Gusau.
He said the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing security emplacement of the Camp with a view to ensuring security and safety of all the Corp Members as well as the staff of the NYSC in the camp.
The Commissioner of Police while addressing the Corp Members urged them to be conscious of their security both in the camp and at their areas of primary assignment.
The CP also assured them of prompt response to any distress call and advised them not to hesitate to report any suspicious character to the police.
The NYSC State Coordinator expressed appreciation to CP Kolo Yusuf and promised to work hand in hand with the Police to ensure hitch free orientation exercise.
