An elder states man and retired senior military officer, Brigadier- General Halliru Akilu RTD has expressed deep sympathy over the death of three Kano notable citizens.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Arewa Consultative forum (ACF), Kano state chapter, Malam Bello Sani Galadanci and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

General Akilu who doubles as Kano board of trustee member ACF, described the death of the NGO’s state legal adviser Barrister Kabiru Muhtar as unfortunate.

He recalled the enormous contributions of the late Legal officer in various capacities, while in the services of Kano state as an administrator, the banking sector and entire nation.

He highlighted that, Barrister Kabiru Muhtar had served as the Secretary legal Adviser to Kano state water resources and construction Agency (WRECA), and was appointed Commissioner for Agriculture under the Kabiru Gaya government in 1992.

Similarly, the elder statesman also condoled the families of legal luminary and Professor of Law, Professor Auwal Yadudu, whose wife Hajiya Zainab, passed away in a United States hospital and was buried in Kano, last Monday.

The third condolence went to the family of renown Islamic scholar, Goni Mallam Mustapha Arzai who died after a protracted illness.

The former director of Military Intelligence, prayed Allah to grant mercy to the souls of the departed, and give their families the fortitude to bear their loss.
