Commandant General of the Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi

Federal Government says it has put in place, new policies that will cater for the welfare of personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps-NSCDC.

Commandant General of the Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi stated this when he met families of slain personnel who were recently killed by bandits at Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi explained that the Corps has been settling burial benefits, entitlements, accident and group life Insurance policies to personnel as and when due.

He maintained that upon assumption of duty as Commandant General two years ago, backlog of salaries and arrears have been cleared with a few pending, which will soon be settled.

The CG who described the killing of the seven personnel as colossal, however charged other personnel not to be deterred by the ugly incident, instead, continue to put in their best for a more secured country.

He re-iterated the commitment of the corps towards collaborating with other security agencies in dealing with hoodlums in the language they understand in line with Presidential directive.

Dr Audi commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his relentless effort towards providing relevant platforms to contain various security threats across the country.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of cheques to next of kins to the deceased personnel, and award of recruitment slot to each family to replace the slain personnel.
