Federal Government says
it has completed and handed over about fifty internal roads network in federal hospital and tertiary institutions across the country.

Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola stated this at the official handing over of a nine hundred and twenty metre road network at the Usman Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto state.

The Minister who was represented by the Federal Controller of works, Eng. Mai Gwandu Kasim said another eighteen completed internal roads network were ready for Handing over stressing that nineteen internal roads network are also under construction in various institutions across the country.

Fashola disclosed that one of the present administration’s priority was the completion of the ongoing Housing Projects in the country to justified the trust reposed on the them.

He reminded that his ministry had completed and commissioned Three hundred and eight housing units in Kaduna, Kogi, Sokoto and Osun states.

Fashola also called on the state government and private sector to implement the National housing Strategy when approved by the Federal Executive Council for effective service delivery in the sector.

He stressed the need for state governments and private sector to compliment FG’s effort towards addressing the housing challenges with a view to providing affordable houses to Nigerians for sustainable development.

According to him, the FG Projects is contributing to job creation initiative of the present administration in the country.

In a response at the handing over, the chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Anas Ahmad Sabir commended FG for it’s intervention projects in the hospital stressing that the present administration would leave a footprints in the areas of infrastructural development in the country.

The Medical Director who was represented by chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Dr Usman Malami Aliyu also disclosed that a double three storey building hostels has reached ninety percent completion in the hospital by the Federal Government, through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
