The Governorship Candidate of People’s Democratic Party- PDP Mr. David Ombugadu says he will prioritize Youths and Women empowerments, wealth creation and agriculture to lift millions of people out of poverty if elected in the next years general election as Governor of Nasarawa State.
Mr David Ombugadu stated this in Garaku, Kokona local government area during his Campaign rally to solicit for votes in the Nasarawa Western zone of the state.
He also said that, he would build an international market for the exportation of agricultural products, construct more schools aim at impacting sound education to citizens, hospitals and sports complexes for youths to encourage sports development.
According to him, he will use the advantage of fertile lands and the agrarian nature of the state to diversify into commercial agriculture, and also open up rural roads for easy transportation of farm products.
In his remark, The Director General of the State PDP campaign council, Mr. Labaran Maku, said nigeria needed change, considering the prevalent situations of hardship and insecurity nigerians are experiencing since the inception Present administration, adding that the APC led Government has failed nigerians.
Mr. Labaran Maku who is also the former Minister of Information explained that, despite the forteen billion naira given to Nasarawa state in the last four years as a security vote, there is Security challenges in some parts of the State.
The information Minister Said all the major projects APC claimed to have done were initiated by the PDP government, PDP built secondary schools more than any other administration in the state. Federal University Lafia was built by PDP, and so also the Federal Secretariat.
The Director General of the Campaign Maintained that, the Special forces base in Doma is built by PDP, when he was the minister of Defence, saying in four years APC led administration in Nasarawa state only commissioned two motor parks, one in Lafia and another one in Karu,local government
On his part, The State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party-PDP Mr. Francis Orogu Called on people of the State to go and get there Permanent Voter Cards PVC’s to change the APC government at all levels because of hunger, poverty and in-security the APC led government caused to nigerians.
Mr. Francis Orogu also expressed hoped that,the twenty twenty three general election PDP will emerge victorious while appreciating the large turned out by the people of Kokona to show support to the PDP Campaign train.
