Social Behavioural Change: KDSG Receives Best Performing Award


Kaduna State receives the best performing award nationwide in Social Behavior Change Communication and increase in the number of women and children under the age of five years with access to strategic messages on Exclusive Breastfeeding Complementary Feeding, Hand Washing and Oral Rehydration Solutions.

This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the Accelerating Nutrition Result in Nigeria ANRiN, implemented in Kaduna State.

The statement, which was signed by the ANRiN Communications officer, For Kaduna State Hajiya Mairo Tahir, said Kaduna state in a recent Implementation Support Mission held in Abuja was rated by stakeholders as the best Most Innovative, Performing, in Mapping Coordination and Social Behavior Change Communication among other commendations.

The statement attributed the successes achieved to the use of mass media platforms such as the Kaduna State Media Corporation among others to reach target audiences with strategic, effective, and user-centric health intervention messages.

It advocated the use of more broadcast media for coverage, visibility and the Harmonization of the activities on maternal infant and young child nutrition amongs other recommendations.
