Acting Director General of the NYSC Mrs Christy Ifeyinwa Uba has warned the corps member in the country not to allow politicians to use them in achieving their political interest during the upcoming 2023 general elections in the country.

Mrs Christy gave the warning at the end of the 3 weeks orientation course in Sokoto state.

The DG noted that working for the INEC is a service to the nation that is not compulsory and urged them to remains neutral throughout the election processes.

She also advised them to imbibe the spirit of unity and integrity with a view to ensuring sustainable peace and development of the country.

The acting DG reminded that the aims of the one year youth service was to promote unity , tolerance and understanding among the diverse ethnic and religious differences in the country.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Sokoto report that the DG further cautioned the youth to shuns cultism, cyber crimes, and drugs addiction and adhere to laws guiding their services with a view to achieving their desired success in their choosing careers.

Mrs Christy Ifeyinwa Uba also advised them to mix with people in their posted areas and understand their culture in order to adding values to their services for socio- cultural and economic development of the country.

In a welcome address, the state coordinator of the NYSC in sokoto Muhammad Nakamba told the acting DG that the present corps member are among the best performing batch in recent times

He added that the NYSC members committed and conducted themselves in all camp activities
