Kano state government has reverse its earlier decision banning the operation of tricycles popularly called keke napep in some major streets of the state .

Managing Director of the Kano Road traffic Agency Alhaji Baffa Babba Dan’agundi disclosed this to Newsmen in Kano.

He said this followed the outcry by the people living in the affected areas of the state.

“We’ve gone round and observed the situation, and government has realized they company assigned for the transportation is not fully prepared, so government have reversed it’s decision up to the time adequate preparation will be made by the company”

Alhaji Baffa Babba DanAgundi commended members of the Amalgamated tricycle riders association for being law abinding and obeying the rule of law.

He urged the people of the state to continue to be law abiding citizens, aimed at having a peaceful society.

Radio Nigeria recalled that the state government issued a directive that tricycle operatives are not allowed to ride on some major roads of the state, with effect from Wednesday.
