Federal government has vowed to enhance the production of dairy, animal husbandry, and other related agricultural production.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Alhaji Mohammad Mahmoud Abubakar stated while presenting donations to members of Kano Dairy Association .
He said the federal government was committed to providing training and support to dairy farmers in all parts of the nation with the aim of enhancing productivity.
Represented by s Director of the Ministry in Kano Alhaji Abba Gana Yamani , the Minister said the ministry will not relent in providing adequate platforms for dairy farmers geared towards achieving the set objectives.
The ministry donated a freezing Van, 300 KVA generator, and 100 milk collection containers to the members of the Kano Diary Association, in a bid to boost their morale to achieve the desired goals.
He noted that the ministry of agriculture had invested hugely in providing access roads in rural areas ,motorized solar boreholes, and provision of farm inputs in kano and other parts of the nation.
In a remark , Chairman Kano Dairy Association Usman Abdullahi Usman applauded federal government’s gesture to the farmers , and promised full utilization of the items.
In his remarks , Kano State Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Jibril yusif Rurum represented by Kabiru Abdullahi urged members of the Association to make adequate use of the items provided.
The event was graced by members of the Kano Dairy Association, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and other stakeholders.
