Written by Bunmi Abdulraheem

Nigeria Labour Congress Kaduna State Council says it’s ready to interact with gubernatorial candidates of all political parties to ensure right candidates emerge during the elections.

The Chairman of the Council, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman stated this during an interactive session with the Gubernatorial Candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi at the labour Secretariat in Kaduna.

He said, workers and people of Kaduna State have right to know the capacity of each politician vying to lead them in the next year general elections.

Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman assured that NLC would participate fully in next year’s elections.

He also described the Gubernatorial Candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi as friends of civil servants who intervened in retaining sacked workers during the military administration in the state.

Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman also recalled how Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi assisted workers to access loans from office of the Secretary to the State government.

In his address, the Kaduna State gubernorship candidate
of New Nigeria People’s Party Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi said he would engage relevant stakeholders like NLC on decision making particularly on good governance.

He also vowed to revise some policies of the present administration considered to be too harsh and unfriendly to the poor masses in the society.

“The socio-economic situation in Kaduna State is not palatable, but we don’t have any other State that belongs to us than Kaduna State. He said.

“The Reason I decided to remain in government is because I want to fix the financial status of Kaduna State”.

“We should allow matured democracy to happen. Government by default also happened in USA, and so by default Donald Trump won the election.

“It can happen again in Kaduna. It was two parties, but now there are four candidates. There is a candidate for APC, PDP, NNPP, and LP and no matter what happened, NNPP will gather more votes”.

All the NLC affiliates in Kaduna State were present during the interaction.
