NOA Partners KECHEMA To Create Awareness

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Kebbi state, has expressed readiness to partner Kebbi Contributory HealthCare Management Agency (KECHEMA) in  promoting and creating awareness on its activities in the state.

The State Director of the agency, Mr Joseph Yaro Machika, stated this when the Executive Secretary of KECHEMA, Dr Jafar Muhammad Augie and his team paid him a courtesy visit seeking collaboration in promoting KECHEMA’s activities.

While commending KECHEMA over it’s services to the people, particularly the less privileges, Mr. Yaro Machika said, the agency has enabled Kebbi communities to access medical services without sweat.

He said NOA was established to sensitize, mobilize and orientate Nigerians on various government policies and programmes hence there is need for stronger collaboration between the agency and KECHEMA for greater public benefits of the health scheme.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of KECHEMA, Dr Jafar Muhammad Augie, said the visit was to partner with NOA towards educating the general public on the benefit of the healthcare programme and its mission.

Dr. Muhammad Augie, said the agency was established in 2018 with the mandate of ensuring Universal Health Coverage of all residents of the state.

He explained that, the agency’s services was classify into formal, informal and vulnerables group but inadequate awareness and non commitment of the formal sector were the challenges faced by the programme.

Dr. Augie stated that, the agency was partnering with primary health care facilities in the state and providing referral services to patients with severe case at no cost.

While presenting KECHEMA’S manual guide to NOA, Dr.Augie, pledged to organize a statewide sensitization meeting with personnel of the orientation agency in Kebbi State.
