Reckless Driving: FRSC To Introduce Mobile Court

Federal Road Safety Corps says it will introduce mobile courts across the 36 states of the federation to trial road traffic offenders in the country.

Speaking at the flagging off of this year’s ember months campaign in Sokoto state, the acting Corps Marshal, DCM Dauda Biu, cautioned drivers against rackles driving.

Dauda, who was represented by The Zonal Commanding Officer Zone 10, Assistant Corps Marshal, Ramalan Yerima, said the 2022 ember months campaign with the theme, “Avoid Speeding, Overloading and Unsafe Tyres To Arrive Alive” is central to reducing road accident in the country.

In a remark, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar charged the FRSC to intensifies effort towards reducing road accidends in the country.

The Sultan, who was represented by the District Head of Durbawa, Muazu Yakubu Durbawa said, the gathering was aimed at reminding drivers on the importance of adhering to traffic rules.

According to him, the campaign would help in reducing road crashes on the highways stressing that the FRSC must increase their presence on the highways with a view to ensuring drivers adhere to traffic rules.
