Evangelical church winning all -ECWA has rounded up its week long international women's week of prayer .
In his sermon,from the book of Genesis Chapter 29 verse 9, Pastor Daniel Iliya encouraged believers to stand firm in serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
He noted that God rewards those that seek him diligently and will ease the sufferings and struggles experienced by the Church.The clergyman admonished women to live exemplary lives , as their role in mentoring and home training cannot be quantified , adding that every society is a reflection of the home.
Senior minister , ECWA English service Dominion Avenue Reverend Mathew Iliya advised the women to put into practice what they have been taught in the course of the prayer week.
The week of prayer is set aside annually for prayers and fellowship to avail all women fellowship members and entire congregation the opportunity to pray for the nation and families globally.
Leader, ECWA women fellowship international, Mrs. Miriam D . Philip in her speech expressed gratitude for the success of this year’s week of prayers .
She called on women to show seriousness and dedication towards the 2023 general elections and exercise their franchise as the future of their children is largely determined by it .
Mrs Miriam Philip prayed for God to intervene in the insecurity and socio – economic challenges ravaging the country, urging Christians to put their faith in Jesus Christ as their saviour as commanded in Hebrews chapter 12 verses 1 – 2 .
Highlights of the service was rendition of songs and praises .
The theme for this year’s ECWA Women week of prayers is “Be on your guard ,stand firm in the faith, for he is coming with the clouds”, taken from 1st Corinthians chapter 16 verse 13 .
