The Department of State Services (DSS) has called for calm as it works with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders to maintain peace and order in and beyond Abuja.

This is sequel to warnings by the United States and Britain on Sunday of a possible terrorist attack in Abuja, targeting government buildings, places of worship and schools, among other public places.

“The public may recall that the Service had variously issued similar warnings in the past”, a statement by the DSS says.

Signed by the Public Relations Officer, Department of State Services (DSS), Peter Afunanya, “the populace is enjoined to remain alert and assist security agencies with useful information regarding threats and suspicious criminal acts around them”, it says.
