A Non Governmental Organization NGO in Kaduna the Kunak Foundation has called on the Federal and states government to establish and equip free Cancer treatment centres to alleviate the plight of cancer patients.

Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Gloria Baboshiya Nyan made the call while speaking to Newsmen on the Fourteen years anniversary of providing assistance to Cancer patients.

She expressed concern about why other sicknesses were receiving more attention than cancer, which had more devastating effects on the body systems of affected persons and did not get much attention.

She stated that the organization had supported 48 cancer patients and 44 of them survived while 4 could not make it largely because they couldn’t keep to terms

Gloria Baboshiya Nyan said she was a cancer victim herself which encouraged her to established the foundation after realizing that less previlledged people cannot survive the infection.

Speaking at the event a philanthropist Comrade Danladi Boyis Hassan appealed to well meaning Nigerians to consider the plight of cancer patients and render support to them.

Comrade Boyis Hassan also appealed to Kaduna State Government to established a cancer treatment center in the state so that the patients can have easy access for treatment.
