Army Seeks Collaboration To End Insurgency

Nigerian Army says it requires the collaborative efforts of other security agencies and stakeholders to keep the nation safe.                       

The Commander Army Headquarters Garrison, Major-General Kabiru Garba stated this in Abuja at the Operation Planning Cader workshop to enhance collaboration among various stakeholders, aimed at curbing insecurity across the country.                                    

General Garba was represented by the Garrison Training Officer, Brigadier General Adeleke Lawal.

He said to maintain peace in the society, most of the tasks remained in the hands of strategic leaders; hence the need to effectively equip them.                             

The Chief of Training, Army Headquarters, Major-General Abdulsalam Ibrahim, represented by the Deputy Chief of training and exercise, Brigadier-General Valentine Okoro, said the training was to enhance the skills of officers to effectively win the war against insurgency.                            

The theme of the four-day workshop is “Capacity building and whole-nation approach: keys to winning fight against insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria”.
