Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum has promised to implement the report of civil service reform in order to strengthen the institution and make governance more seamless. 

The Governor made the promise while swearing-in the nineteen newly appointed Commissioners at Musa Usman Secretariat, Maiduguri. 

Governor Zulum said part of the reform included the conduct of promotion examination for civil servants which will commence in October this year. 

This according to him will enhance professionalism and performance of the civil service to effectively drive the recovery process of the state government. 

Governor Babagana Zulum also promised to settle outstanding demands of civil servants which include promotion benefits, annual increment and leave grants.

He urged the newly reconstituted executive council to be dedicated and ensure effective supervision of their subordinates.

Speaking on behalf of the new Commissioners, State Attorney General and Commidsioner for Justice Kaka Shehu Lawan assured to comply with all directives of the Governor to achieve the needed result.
