Owo Attack: NEMA Distributes Items To Victims

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to victims of the terrorist attack at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo in Ondo State.

The distribution of the relief materials is in addition to medical supplies that had earlier been given to the victims admitted at various hospitals.

After the attack on worshippers of St Francis Catholic Church, owo, the Federal government directed the National Emergency Management Agency to immediately provide humanitarian assistance to victims and their families.

To this end, officials of the agency in Ondo and Ekiti states distributed medical supplies to the four hospitals that those who sustained various degrees of injuries were admitted.

But the team on its second visit led by the Director, Search and Rescue of the Agency, Commodore Edward Adedokun distributed the relief materials which comprised food and non food items.

Commodore Adedokun who condemned the attack on the worshippers said NEMA commiserated with the state government and the people of Ondo state.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the victims, the second associate Priest of the church, Revd Father Andrew Abayomi thanked NEMA for coming to the rescue of the victims and their families at this time.

The team had earlier paid a condolence visit to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.
