The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has commenced the distribution of electoral materials for tomorrow’s governorship election in Ekiti State.

The materials were distributed at INEC State office in Ado Ekiti in the presence of journalists, representatives of political parties and security agents to the electoral officers across the sixteen local government areas of the state.

The Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Adeniran Tella who distributed the materials said electoral officers would take them to their local government areas where they would be sent to Registration Area Centers RACs and then to the polling units on Saturday morning..

Dr Tella assured voters that there would be no late arrival of materials and polling officers to polling units on election day.

The Residents Electoral Commissioner maintained that ballot papers were coded in different colours for each local government to prevent electoral fraud.

He said that the result sheets were also customized according to each polling unit.

Dr Tella who noted that all was set to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the state, urged all stakeholders to embrace and promote peace.
