Gbajabiamila Faults Delegates’ System Of Primaries

Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila has reiterated the commitment of the house to actualizing its legislative agenda.

The Speaker stated this in his welcome address to lawmakers upon the Resumption of plenary activities.

Mr Gbajabiamila called for concerted efforts in the fight for true democracy.

He charged the lawmakers to remain committed to the project Nigeria.

Gbajabiamila also faulted the delegate system of primaries adopted by the political parties.

According to him, many of the members of the house lost the primary elections due to the delegates system.

Gbajabiamila also directed chairmen of committees to embark on comprehensive oversight of ministries departments and agencies of government to ensure accountability of public funds.

The speaker who also condemned the Owo killings urged relevant security agencies to double their efforts and apprehend the culprits
