The Former People’s Democratic Party PDP gubernatorial candidate during the 2015 and 2019 General election Mallam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has picked the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP gubernatorial ticket.
Mallam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim was a former Chief of staff during the two Former Governors of the state Ibrahim Saminu Turaki and Sule Lamido.
He emerged as a consensus candidate for the party’s gubernatorial primary election held at Dutse stadium, jigawa state capital.
In an acceptance speech, Aminu Ringim thanked the party’s delegates, stakeholders and other members for the confidence and honour bestowed on him.
“I wish to formally accept the honour and trust you bestowed on my humble self to fly the flag of our Party as its Gubernatorial Candidate for Jigawa State in the forthcoming 2023 election”
Aminu Ringim however urged the people of the state and nigerians to use the power of their votes rationally come 2023 to rescue the state and nation in general.
It could be recalled that, Aminu Ringim along with thousands of his supporters dumped the People’s Democratic Party PDP to join the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP.
He dumped the party along former senators, House of Representatives members, Commissioners and former Local Government chairmen for accusing ex-Governor Sule Lamido and other PDP stakeholders of sabotaging the party’s victory in the previous elections.
