Anglican Bishop Tasks Government On Security

Government at all levels have been urged to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the nooks and cranny of the country to make life better for the common man.

The Bishop of the Diocese of New Bussa, Anglican Communion(Church of Nigeria),Most Reverend Isaac Amoo made the call while speaking at the 5th Synod of the Church held at St John Church, New Bussa, Kwara State Province.

He advised security agencies to review their strategies, and seek help where necessary to complement their efforts.

Reverend Amoo stressed the need for government at all levels to allocate more resources ,as well as place priority on security of lives and property.

He also appealed to all ethnic groups, regions, and religions bodies to assist Nigeria to break the jinx of failed census exercise.

The cleric urged Nigerians not to allow competition between religions and tribes to deny them social progress.
