43 Aggrieved Bauchi APC Aspirants Seek New Primaries

43 All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants who ran for the Bauchi state House of Assembly want the party’s National Working Committee to order new primaries in their districts.

They also urged the committee to re-elect local government delegates or hold direct primaries in all affected constituencies.

The Interim Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Sale Nabayi, made the appeal during a press conference in Bauchi on Monday, claiming that primary elections were not held in all eleven House of Assembly constituencies.

Alhaji Sale stated that as loyal party members, they purchased forms and canvassed for votes to contest for various state assembly seats, but the Committee ultimately stated that all constituencies with serving lawmakers have been given ‘automatic tickets’.
