PDP Gubernatorial candidate and flag bearer in Niger state Alhaji Isa Luman Kantigi.

The People’s Democratic Party PDP Gubernatorial primaries in Niger state has ended with the emergence of Alhaji Isa Liman Kantigi as winner and flag bearer of the party for twenty twenty three general elections.

He polled six hundred and sixty seven votes to defeat other aspirants in an election that was conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.

Announcing the results, Chairman PDP Electoral Committee and Bayelsa state Deputy Governor Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo commended both aspirants, security agencies and members of his team for demonstrating high degree of sportsmanship during the party primaries.

According to him, Alhaji Sani Kutigi scored one hundred and fourteen votes, while Alhaji Abdulrahman Gimba polled three votes with Alhaji Sidi Abdul scoring zero votes and Abdullahi Isa Jankara got twenty one votes

Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo explained that out of the total eight hundred and eight number of votes cast, three were invalid.

Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger state Mr Monday Bala Kuryas commended the orderly conduct of delegates.

Mr Monday Bala Kuryas however warned politicians in the state against engaging in act capable of disrupting the conduct of party primaries.

Meanwhile results of All Progressives Congress APC for Niger state Gubernatorial and House of Assembly primaries are being awaiy6yhted.
