As Governorship primaries of the people democratic party continue all over the country, the immediate deputy Governor of the state Mahdi Aliyu Gusau has withdrew the race.

The withdrawal from the race was announced by the former deputy Governor
Principal Private Secretary Umar Aminu in Gusau .

He however did not give reasons for his principal decision to step down from the contest.

He also announced his principal support to one of the contestants, Dauda Lawal and urged his supporters to vote for him.

Our reporter report that the primaries due for today will be keenly contested between Dr Dauda Lawal Dare and Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye who has refused to step down from the race.
