Gov. Ishaku Donates N10 million To Families Of Deceased Soldiers

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has promised the determination of his administration to give succor to members of the immediate families of soldiers of the 93 Battalion who were killed in a recent military operation against militants tormenting communities in Takum LGA of the state.

Ishaku made the promise during a visit to the battalion in Takum on Sunday.

In an emotion-laden voice, Ishaku expressed his sympathy and that of the Taraba State government to the family members made up of their widows and children.

According to him, he personally feels their pains and promised that Government would take steps to assist them, particularly the children who will have to go to school.

He announced a cash gift of N10 million to provide them immediate succor and pledged that the government would do more to assist them.

Governor Ishaku, however, renewed his call on the people of the state to pray for the safe return of the commanding officer of the Battalion who was declared missing after the operation.
